Essential Steps to a Clean and Organized Bathroom

Today I'm sharing the first guest post to be featured on Courtney's Little Things! This is a bit different than what I normally post, but cleaning is a part of everyone's lives and I learned a few new tricks from this post. Plus I know I will be having lots of guests staying with me this month, so I thought you guys might, too! I hope you enjoy!

Essential Steps to a Clean and Organized Bathroom

Regardless if you intend to have guests or a friend is paying you a visit you’ll always want your bathroom to be clean. Keeping this room clean isn’t as easy as the rest of the rooms so, it’s good to know some tricks which will help you maintain it hygienic and fresh all the time. The following essential steps are effective for keeping a clean and well organised bathroom.

How to Maintain a Clean Shower

This procedure you can do while taking a shower after you prepare the solution in advance. Fill a cup with any detergent and vinegar, stir to mix well and use a brush to scrub the bathtub while you have a shower. It will take you less than a minute and will restore the clean condition of the bathtub. The water which you use to rinse will remove the detergent from the bathtub.

Keep Toilet Paper on Hand

Make sure your bathroom never runs out of toilet paper and store more rolls in containers or boxes with lids. This will protect them from the moisture. Buy more rolls and keep them in the bathroom under the sink in the cabinets or somewhere safe from the moisture and water. Keep the new rolls unopened.

Opt for White Hand Towels

Use white hand towels as they look nice and clean. Regardless if the dirt shows when they get messy, if you keep enough in the bathroom cabinets you can always replace the dirty one with a new towel. Throw the towels for washing regularly. A sparkling clean and white towel will make your bathroom look fresh for your guests and unexpected visitors.

Keep Even the Dirtiest Areas Clean

The toilet brush holder is one of the filthiest items in the bathroom. You can keep this item clean and your bathroom fresh by simply pouring a small quantity of all-purpose cleaner in the holder. BestLondonCleaners Tooting are saying that this will keep the brush clean and rid of germs at the same time will ensure the fresh odour in the bathroom.

Start These Daily Habits

Another smart way to keep your bathroom clean and fresh is creating and sticking to daily habits. These are putting away the things you have used right after you finish with them: brushes, toothpastes, moisturisers, lotions. Teach your kids to clean the toothpaste from the sink, turn on the fan before taking a shower and other habits. Keep a squeegee in the bathroom to wipe the mirror, glasses, cabinets and tiles after you use the room. This will prevent the moisture from creating mould and mildew.

Supply your bathroom with soap in the dispenser, toilet paper, cleaning detergents and other products each week. Keep a spray bottle with vinegar and water if you have kids and want them to help you with the cleaning. Wash the bath mats and hand towels regularly. Clean the shower, sink and tub drains regularly removing hairs which can clog them. This you can do once every three month or oftener whenever necessary.

More Tips

Here are more useful tips to keep your bathroom better organised and neat. Use magnetic strips to keep small items in the drawers like nail clippers, tweezers and other items in the medicine cabinets at hand. They won’t get lost this way. Use utensil trays in the drawers of the bathroom to keep your toiletries and make-up supplies well organised.

You can mount a rack outside the bathroom near the door to hang extra towels in case someone forgets to take one. If your bathroom and toilet is one room use plastic protectors for the toothbrushes to keep them clean. Otherwise they will be exposed to all kinds of bacteria and germs.

The essential steps offered here will help you keep you bathroom clean and organised at all times so, you won’t have to worry if unexpected guests appear. The cleaning of this room is no one’s favourite works so, keeping it sanitised is to be preferred.
